XENTRY XDOS & Passthru how to install Secrets Revealed for Dummies 2020
1. prepare windows sp1 x32 or x64 as an administrator, UAC off.
*for windows 10x64, disable secure boot in bios
2. Mount Xentry XDOS iso or Xentry Passthru iso to a virtual drive. Run "start.exe"

3c. Blacklisted device serial number
purpose: Check your genuine/clone MB VCI, XENTRY CONNECT or SDCONNECT serial number if it is blacklisted or not by Xentry before something bad happens to your device

4a. install xentry key loader for configassist
purpose: to make configassit accept key from old xentry developer keygen ( it is called 'old keys') or new long key from new xentry developer keygen (it is called new 'original keys'). Select according to your win OS.
copy dll file to:
for x86 32bit
c:\windows\system32
for x64 64bit
c:\windows\SysWOW64
then
double click:
for windows x86 "old key loader for configassist or startkeycenter 32bit.reg"
fox windows x64 "old key loader for configassist or startkeycenter 64bit.reg"
and click "yes" to upload it to the registry. with this, now old key can be accepted by xentry.

5. Run configassyst to enter Xentry license key using Xentry New Longkey

6. Prevents xentry's key deleted and get "no access authorization code" when diagnosing while online.
6a. Webmaster's simple method (simple and SCN SAFE), is advice by BARTJ for xdos & xentry pt. Purpose: Introduce by Webmaster for XentryXp. And BARTJ advises a user to use it for XDOS. I think this is a simple but powerful and SCN SAFE method to handle the obstacle of deleted XDOS key compare to "appserv method" that many members said that it makes SCN failed. I make a simple batch file but I don't try it online yet.
How-To:
Extract XS.rar to C:\
Windows 7: Goto folder XS, and run "install.bat"

6b. X4711 Methods.
Purpose: Introduce by Rocinante in 2012. It prevents xentry's key being deleted and it is SAFE FOR SCN Online CodingAll release:

COPY C:\ProgramData\LicDir\lic_key_2.dat to the desktop, rename it to lic_key_2.x4711, and make this file READ ONLY
MOVE it back into the directory C:\ProgramData\LicDir\.
make sure the lic_key_2.dat file IS NOT read only while lic_key_2.x4711 file READ ONLY...
7. install das license 0 day fix if you want to use DAS STANDALONE. if not, then it is not needed.
purpose: fix DAS license 0 day error (not for MB Bus) for DAS STANDALONE. DAS STANDALONE is used for OFFLINE Programming W204 and W212 PROTOTYPE.

purpose: diagnose old cars that use 38pin, obd1, banana cables

purpose: you have to set lan ip address so that your sdconnect can connect with xentry by cable. while setting wireless ip address for wireless mode. I add utilities from disinfetor too. it is good.

Tips & Tricks:
I. DAS Ignition On/Off enabler
purpose: after coding or offline programming, DAS asks to ignition the vehicle off.
1. you do ignition vehicle off, but DAS is not recognized it and still asks ignition off.
2. when you want to use the floating menu on/off, and it is grey.
Solution:
A. The old way (grandpa way):
you have to edit with notepad, file global.sim in
c:\ProgramData\Mercedes-Benz\csd\writefil\sim
[GLOBAL]
IGNITION=ON
change ignition from on to off vice versa. You can make two batch file and place it in the desktop

II. Eliminate the printing of all the AddOns in DAS report file
Supporting documentation makes for an easy Sale
purpose:
when print QuickTests, all AddOns always show up on the bottom of every page on the Quicktest when it's printed.
In Xentry only the first page shows the update numbers, as opposed to DAS, prints it on every page.
This fix is to eliminate the printing of all the AddOns in those QuickTest's reports.
This is my fix for that obstacle:

1. delete file
C:\ProgramData\Mercedes-Benz\Temp\DAS\sdversion.ini
2. goto:

open with notepad and edit:
