I compared the stock file with the modded one and the tool replaced at adress 6E4A value "3C 2B" with "00 00" but the tprot is still active.
It is a EDC17c46 from a passat cc 2.0 TDI 130kW, maybe it comes from checksum calculation? After that there are a bunch of other differences.

Maybe I am doing something wrong, but the tprot is still active after checksum und uploading the modified file.
I used MPPS Tricore Boot with BDM Frame.
